Artist Statement
The overriding theme in my work concerns the use of language and the relationship between Painting and Photography. Using different forms of visual language I often point to the same things. Everything I inquire about is from a given perspective and it is this perspective that is the unifying factor in the work.
Trying to be all inclusive the images deal with opposites. So while the subject matter changes I will use both abstraction and realism, work with multiples (the one and the many) and often refer to other languages that unfold in real time.
